Following numerous accomplishments and a few challenges, he decided he had tackled all that he wanted to at that time and this is where I entered the picture. After fulfilling the commitment with the restaurant organization I was employed by, I was given the opportunity to work alongside my father. This was a dream come true to learn from the man whose business expertise and people skills I had long admired. I enjoyed this new venture so much; my wife and I bought the assets and started Goria Corporation! To this day, I still value my father's wise counsel.

To begin building our rotational molding skills, I invited an engineer to come in and give us a crash course in Rotational Molding 101. He heartily accepted the "challenge" and did such a good job of fine-tuning our skills; he offered us the opportunity to build parts for his company. To this day, that organization is one of our largest custom part customers.

Over the course of 9 years, we have fully developed and perfected the double wall plastic burial vault. Its unique and lightweight design is unlike any other vault in the market today. Coupled with the strength and durability it provides, funeral directors can confidently sell this superior product to bereaved family members who are looking for a little peace of mind during a difficult time.

Goria Corporation still holds true to the same foundational values instilled in me by my parents' years ago: customers will always be held in high regard and our products will never disappoint!

In 1970, my parents, Pete and Carolyn Goria, started a concrete business offering a variety of products, including burial vaults, to its customers up and down the Eastern Seaboard. Finding much success in the funeral industry, they obtained a franchise with the Wilbert Burial Vault Company in the mid 70's. With its emphasis on stellar customer service and a quality product, the franchise grew from 26th place to 5th place among all Wilbert licenses in the United States and Canada.

After 29 years of operating this franchise, my parents sold the business and decided to give retirement a try. My dad, however, quickly became bored and always the entrepreneur began investigating the rotational molding of plastics. Purchasing a machine that was wasting away in a Texas field; he moved it to North Carolina and refurbished it. Once completed, the prototyping of his patented double-walled plastic burial vault began.

How It All Began…………..
